Job Description

Chronicle Heritage Arabia is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Copy Editor to support our Reporting Team remotely. This position plays a key role in editing and formatting deliverables for a wide array of archaeological and cultural heritage projects based in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality reports that meet regulatory and client standards. Copy edit and format reports and associated deliverables for archaeological monitoring, archaeological clearance, archaeological survey, archaeological trenching, archaeological excavation, and heritage impact assessments, among other forms of cultural heritage projects

Key Responsibilities

Copy edit and format technical reports and documentation for:

  • Archaeological monitoring and clearance
  • Pedestrian surveys and trenching
  • Excavation reports
  • Heritage impact assessments
  • Other cultural heritage deliverables

Ensure quality control by adhering to project timelines, regulatory frameworks, and Chronicle Heritage Arabia’s internal style guide.

Collaborate effectively with reporting team members and other staff across disciplines to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.

Utilize various tools and platforms such as:

  • QorusDocs
  • Sage Intacct
  • Teamwork
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Hire Type: Full-time, hourly

Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours; occasional weekend work depending on

projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field
  • At least 2 years of experience in copy editing, preferably within a professional or technical context
  • Exceptional command of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Impeccable attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Strong communication skills and excellent organizational abilities
