Summary: Experienced LM2500 Gas Turbine Engineer required to support overhaul and troubleshooting of Gas Turbine unit and ancillaries. The successful candidate will have experience for LM2500 of Field Service activities, including removal and installation of full unit, GG and Hot section investigation of failure and deterioration modes. Preferably have experience of shop overhaul of 2 Stage High Speed and 6 Stage “6PAC” Power Turbines.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Serve as local Subject Matter Expert on all aspects of LM2500 engineering work.
- Creation, review and development of job pack elements for Full Unit, GG, Hot Section and PT works.
- Lead technology transfers where appropriate from Chromalloy overhaul shop.
- Technical support to Field Service Engineers during outages.
- Review of outage and overhaul reports and creation of Engineering conclusions and recommendations.
- Function as part of a rota to provide 24/7 emergency support advice to LTSA customers.
- Provide advice to internal and external customers on Gas Turbine performance, operating parameters and troubleshooting.
- Provide advice and create unit status / Condition Monitoring reports (typically monthly) for key LTSA customer GT assets using CTSL’s Tiger® remote monitoring and diagnostic package and customers’ own data collection packages.
- Additional tasks as assigned to support wider business and to aid personal development.
- Conduct company internal audits and supplier external audits with appropriate training.
- Participation in and leadership of improvement initiatives as required.
- Provide technical support to Sales team including drafting technical presentations.
- While primarily office/overhaul facility based, UK and international travel to supplier and customer sites will be required.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Degree level or equivalent technical experience in relevant discipline such as Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in overhaul of LM2500 Gas Turbines, including hands-on experience and troubleshooting. Preferably familiar with UK and International Onshore and Offshore standards relating to site safety and conduct such as MIST, ATEX.
Skills: Good communicator across all management levels. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn additional business management systems. Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft Project.
