Overview
A globally recognised and leading Engineering company based in the Derbyshire area are looking for a Structural Design Project Engineer to take on highly technical work within the Renewables & Energy Sector. The successful Project Engineer will design industrial steel structures and perform engineering calculations across a range of disciplines such as structural, fluid dynamics, general mechanics and FEA. You will work closely with the design team, be heavily involved in R&D, and support the project management, engineering, and quality teams. Responsibilities
- Design industrial steel structures and perform engineering calculations across disciplines including structural, fluid dynamics, general mechanics and FEA.
- Collaborate with the design team and support R&D initiatives.
- Support project management, engineering, and quality teams throughout development and delivery.
Qualifications
- Degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience of Structural Analysis using recognised software and 1st principles.
- Working to international standards/codes – Eurocode, ASCE 7 & AIC.
- Good understanding of fabricated structures, components and manufacturing techniques.
