Sector: TechReference: 15715Head of ITNorth West Manchester | HybridPermanent | Full-time65,000 - 75,000 + BenefitsChroma Recruitment is working with an established organisation in Greater Manchester that is looking to appoint a Head of IT to lead its technology function and help shape the next stage of its IT strategy.This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the day-to-day IT operation alongside longer-term technology planning. You’ll lead the internal IT team, take ownership of infrastructure, systems and security, and work closely with the wider leadership team to ensure technology continues to support the needs of the business.What you’ll be doing:Leading and developing the internal IT function and providing clear technical leadershipDefining and delivering the organisation’s IT strategy and technology roadmapTaking ownership of IT infrastructure, business systems, networks and cloud environmentsEnsuring strong cyber security, governance, backup and disaster recovery processes are in placeManaging IT budgets, suppliers, licensing and third-party technology partnersOverseeing infrastructure and systems projects from planning through to deliveryReviewing existing technology and identifying opportunities to improve performance, resilience and efficiencyEstablishing effective IT policies, processes and service standardsWorking closely with senior stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate these into technology solutionsSupporting and developing the IT team while remaining comfortable getting involved technically when requiredWhat we’re looking for:Previous experience in an service desk manager, IT Manager, Head of IT, IT Director or similar senior technology leadership roleStrong experience across IT infrastructure, cloud environments and business-critical systemsGood understanding of cyber security, IT governance, risk and disaster recoveryExperience managing and developing technical teamsStrong supplier, vendor and budget management experienceA track record of delivering IT projects and technology changeThe ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersA pragmatic, commercially minded approach with the ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day deliveryWhat’s on offer:Salary of 65,000 - 75,000, depending on experienceHybrid workingGreater Manchester locationOpportunity to take ownership of the IT function and influence technology strategySenior role with direct exposure to the wider leadership teamScope to develop the IT environment, team and roadmap as the organisation continues to growIf you’re an experienced IT leader looking for a role where you can have genuine ownership of the technology function and make a visible impact across the business, we’d be keen to hear from you.
