Chroma are delighted to be recruiting for a North-West based process machinery manufacturer with a global presence. The role of Engineering Lead will involve a healthy blend of 80% hands-on engineering and 20% management. The technical side will be primarily focused on PLC/HMI development (Omron β Structured Text), electrical control panel design and design standardisation.
On the management side, you will lead, develop and motivate a team of 4/5 Engineers (Mechanical, Electrical & Controls). This includes checking work, managing workloads and driving continuous improvement across the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior level Control Systems / Electrical Engineer who is looking to step up into a leadership position and work for a forward-thinking company offering interesting work, further progression and a highly competitive remuneration package!
Engineering Lead β Control Systems requirements:
- Degree or HND/C level in Engineering (or similar)
- PLC programming with Structured Text (ST)
- Omron PLC experience (preferred)
- Senior/Principal level Engineer - ideally with leadership experience
- Able to travel occasionally
