A globally recognised manufacturer of high-performance gear solutions, supplying critical industries across the world. Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team at our Rochdale facility. This is a varied role offering a genuine 50/50 split between hands-on manufacturing engineering and higher-level process improvement activities.
You'll be heavily involved in CNC programming, machining processes and shop-floor support, whilst also driving continuous improvement projects, process optimisation and long-term manufacturing changes across the business.
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:- Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineer position is essential
- Strong background within precision engineering and/or heavy engineering
- Experience with CNC machining processes including milling and turning
- Grinding process knowledge would be highly advantageous
- CNC programming and routing experience
- Ability to create and modify manufacturing documentation and processes
- Experience using 3D CAD software
- Strong understanding of machining methods, tooling and manufacturing best practices
- Able to communicate effectively with both shop-floor teams and senior management
