We are seeking a Platform Engineer to join a modern, cloud-first data platform team during an exciting new phase of growth within a brand-new Manchester office. This role sits at the heart of an Azure-based data platform, supporting the infrastructure, tooling, and automation that underpin a Databricks Lakehouse environment and wider data services. You will enable engineers and analysts to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable data products.

The Data Engineering function sits within the IT Delivery organisation as part of a wider Data & Automation capability. The team works closely with Data Governance, Data Migration, Reporting, and Automation teams. The environment is highly collaborative, forward-thinking, and technically strong, offering excellent opportunities to work on large-scale, modern data platform engineering challenges.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) as the single source of truth.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to automate deployments across Databricks workspaces, Unity Catalog, and networking.
