Due to an increase in projects, a leading Engineering company based in the Lancaster area who specialise in complex equipment for the Renewables/Offshore sector are looking for a highly experienced R&D Mechanical Design Engineer to work on the full life cycle design of products. The successful candidate will have strong 3D CAD skills as well as strong knowledge of FEA, hand calculations and first principles. You will be working closely with the Engineering Manager across multiple projects and be responsible for the design, development and testing of new and existing products. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious engineer who likes to work in a fast-paced highly regulated industry where you will have the opportunity to develop and progress!

Requirements:

  • Degree level in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3D CAD Inventor (or similar)
  • Heavy fabrication design experience
  • Design calculations / FEA
  • Hands-on test & development
  • Hydraulics (desirable)
