An innovative engineering company is looking to add a Product Development & Design Engineer to their growing team. Chroma are supporting the search to help meet increasing demand and support the development of new products across a diverse range of applications.
This Product Development & Design Engineer role offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, from concept generation through to manufacture, with genuine ownership of projects. You will join a collaborative engineering team, developing innovative products, producing detailed designs, and supporting prototype and production activities. It's an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to have a direct impact on product development within a growing business.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical design background, experience using 3D CAD software, and a track record of taking products from concept through to manufacture.
Product Development & Design Engineer Requirements:
3+ years' experience within a Product Design, Development or Mechanical Design role
Proficient with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
Experience developing products from concept through to production
Knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DfM)
Experience creating engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation
Strong problem-solving and project management skills
HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar
Experience with injection moulded products or similar manufacturing processes (beneficial)
This is a flexible role offering involvement in both new product development and continuous improvement projects. You will be part of a growing engineering team, working on innovative products and taking ownership of projects from initial design through to manufacture.
