A leading engineering and industrial services organisation is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to take commercial leadership of a major construction project based in Hull. This is a senior-level position responsible for the overall commercial performance of a high-value project, providing leadership across cost control, forecasting, change management, contract administration and subcontractor management.
The successful candidate will work closely with project leadership, ensuring robust commercial governance while driving project profitability, contract compliance and successful commercial delivery.
The Role
- Leading all day-to-day commercial activities across a major construction project
- Managing NEC contract administration and commercial compliance
- Overseeing measurement, valuation and payment application processes
- Managing forecasting, cost-to-complete and estimate-at-completion reporting
- Leading Compensation Event and change management activities
- Driving commercial performance, profitability and cash flow management
- Managing subcontractor procurement, administration and final accounts
- Providing commercial advice to project and operational teams
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks and maximising opportunities
- Ensuring robust commercial records and contractual substantiation are maintained
- Producing monthly commercial reporting and financial forecasts
- Mentoring and leading Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members
