A specialist Metal Fabrication manufacturer in Stoke-on-Trent is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. This company are UK and International leaders for bespoke applications used in the infrastructure, civil and commercial sectors.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll report to the Head of Engineering and work closely with Senior Engineers to design and develop high quality equipment for regulated industries. You'll focus on the design of steelwork, fabrications, complex parts and assemblies and be exposed to real life crash testing, simulation and cradle-to-grave design.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and multi-skilled engineering function (around 15 engineers), where you'll receive first class training and development on industry leading equipment.

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree Educated in Engineering
  • Experience in Metal Fabrication, Steelwork, Complex Equipment (desirable)
  • Strong 3D CAD Skills
  • Engineering Calculations
  • Experience with BS8888 standards (desirable)
  • Experience in Full-Life Cycle Design (cradle to grave)
