The opportunity:
Our client, a well-known international consumer brand, is part-way through a major data modernisation programme and is building out its data engineering team. They're replatforming their data and reporting estate onto a modern Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran and Azure stack, retiring legacy SQL Server warehouses along the way. The pace is fast, the scope spans multiple international markets, and the work is highly visible to senior leadership. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys building well-tested, reliable pipelines on a modern stack and wants to be part of a high-velocity delivery team.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and maintaining ingestion pipelines (Fivetran) and transformations (dbt) on Snowflake.
- Developing and operating data integrations across Azure data services (Function Apps, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Data Factory).
- Supporting the controlled migration and decommissioning of legacy SQL Server warehouses – reconciliation, parallel running and clean cutover.
- Writing and maintaining tests, embedding them into CI/CD pipelines so broken changes don't reach production.
