- Interim HR Transformation Lead (Contractor)
- Overview
Are you looking to make a genuine, visible impact in a short window rather than settle into a long slow ramp-up? This role offers exactly that.
We're looking for an experienced HR professional to join a major UK consumer brand on a hands-on delivery contract, supporting a live piece of HR transformation work.
This is a delivery-focused role rather than a strategic leadership position — you'll be doing the work, not just directing it, alongside an established in-house HR team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design or redesign of reward structures — pay & grading, bonus schemes, and benefits.
- Support the implementation or configuration of the organisation's HRIS platform.
- Help establish or improve HR shared services processes and transactional support.
- Work closely with HR business partners, payroll, and IT stakeholders to deliver changes safely.
- Document new processes and ensure a smooth handover into business-as-usual.
- Identify practical improvements to the current HR service delivery model.
Requirements
- Proven, hands-on experience setting up or redesigning reward systems.
- Proven, hands-on experience implementing or configuring an HRIS platform (e. g. Workday, SAP Success Factors, Oracle HCM).
- Proven, hands-on experience setting up or running HR shared services.
- Comfortable working in a delivery capacity rather than a purely strategic or leadership one.
- Based within commuting distance of Manchester, able to work onsite around half the week.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable
- CIPD qualification.
- Experience in telecoms or a similarly regulated, customer-facing sector.
- Experience working on HR transformation programmes end-to-end.
- Change management experience.
Why Join?
- Genuine, hands-on delivery ownership
- A tangible, visible contribution within a short engagement.
- Close collaboration with an established, high-calibre in-house HR team.
- Exposure across reward, systems and service delivery in one role.
- Apply
If you're an experienced HR professional who can get up to speed fast and make a real impact within a short contract, we'd love to hear from you.
