Chroma Recruitment is working with a leading engineering firm in the food technology sector, seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. This is a high-impact role for a skilled engineer with an eye for technical solutions, regulatory expertise, and the ability to lead in electrical schematic design.
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating, updating, and maintaining electrical schematics for advanced machinery. You'll ensure compliance with global regulations, source components for custom projects, and optimize machinery designs to align with client needs. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this position offers the opportunity to work both independently and within a team.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Electrical CAD software (EPLAN ideal); experience producing wiring & systematic diagrams and electrical panel layouts.
- Familiarity with PLCs; knowledge of Mitsubishi controls is a bonus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Experience with CE marking, UL/CSA standards, IET 18th Edition, and Functional Safety (ISO EN 13849-1).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiar with best practices in industrial wiring, cable sizing, and overcurrent device selection.
