Due to continuing expansion and a huge increase in projects, this reputable engineering firm is looking to grow their engineering team ASAP. As part of this growth, they are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of the full design lifecycle. The successful candidate will operate in multi-functional project teams and be tasked with leading cutting-edge machinery design projects.
Key duties include:
- Client liaison
- Concept design
- 3D / 2D CAD
- Calculations
- Test & validation
- Overseeing work into build and commissioning
The company designs a highly bespoke range of machinery incorporating complex assemblies, frames, precision components, rotating parts, gearboxes, drives, bearings, seals, instrumentation, etc. Each project is both different and extremely exciting. Senior Mechanical Design Engineer requirements:
- Degree level in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- 3D CAD PTC CREO or SolidWorks
- Experience with Electro-Mechanical Instrumentation or Machinery design
- GD&T
- Sound knowledge of 1st principles, hand calculations & simulations
