A global engineering company are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Design Engineer to work on the full lifecycle of a range of cutting-edge plant/process machinery. The role of the Project Design Engineer is to take projects through the full lifecycle including site surveys, specifications, layouts, detailed drawings, 2D/3D CAD, procurement, client liaison, compliance (Machinery directive, ATEX etc.) and overseeing into manufacture and installation. Projects can vary from single machines through to full turnkey systems.
The company itself is a medium-sized business with a strong brand image, warm culture and low turnover of staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design or Project Engineer with proven industry experience and strong problem-solving skills who is looking to step up into a challenging, full-lifecycle role.
Mechanical Project Design Engineer Requirements:
- HNC/D or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- CAD AutoCAD & Inventor (or similar)
- Design experience with Process Equipment / Systems / Machinery
- Able to travel from time to time
- Food industry experience (desirable)
