A global engineering business in the Dudley area is recruiting for two experienced Mechanical Design Engineers with strong machine design skills to design and innovate cutting-edge machinery deployed to a range of clients. The successful candidate will be involved with everything and will work across the full project lifecycle. This includes blank sheet design, customer interaction, in-depth CAD design, calculations, FEA, prototyping, and taking your design through to manufacture, assembly, and installation with a close link-up with the shop floor.

Due to the interesting nature of their work, the company boasts a very high staff retention and a strong workplace culture. The successful candidate will be granted a lot of autonomy from day one and will also be progressed in the long run.

Mechanical Design Engineer requirements:

  • HNC/D or Degree Level in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor or similar)
  • Strong experience designing Machinery / Lifting Equipment / Automated systems
  • FEA & Structural Calculations
  • Electrical knowledge (desirable but not essential)
