This Electronics Manufacturing company in Halifax are seeking a Product Engineer to take ownership of product compliance, safety, and certification. The Product Engineer is responsible for producing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation to support regulatory compliance, as well as carrying out structured product safety evaluations to identify and mitigate risk. As Product Engineer, you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure products meet regulatory standards and are supported by robust processes.
Product Engineer Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Product Engineer or similar role
- Engineering / Manufacturing experience
- Strong understanding of product compliance frameworks and certification requirements
- Manage external product testing ultimately to achieve product approvals for CE/UKCA/GPSR
- Experience with technical documentation and safety evaluation processes
- Ability to manage external partners such as test labs and certification bodies
