A fast-paced manufacturing business is looking for a Production Engineer to support Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Planning. You will handle routings, CNC programming, sheet-metal development, and day-to-day production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Create routings, CNC programs, cut lists, and job packs
- Produce sheet-metal developments (2D/3D CAD-CAM)
- Maintain CNC laser programs and optimise utilisation
- Design jigs, fixtures, and fabrication supports
- Manage IFS tasks and revision changes
- Support shop floor queries and first-off inspections
- Contribute to DFM and continuous improvement
- Provide cost estimates and make vs buy decisions
Requirements
- Apprentice-trained mechanical engineer
- Strong CAD-CAM and CNC experience
- ERP experience (IFS preferred)
- Confident communicator, able to multitask
- Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
