Lead Integrations Engineer Manchester, hybrid (3 days on site) | £100,000 plus 10% bonus and benefits We're hiring a Lead Integrations Engineer for a well-known consumer business going through a significant technology modernisation. This is a leadership role, and it's a specific one. The business is retiring a legacy MuleSoft Anypoint estate and moving onto Azure Integration Services. That work is being delivered alongside a managed service provider who currently holds most of the platform knowledge. You'd lead the internal engineering team through that wind-down and, just as importantly, hold that provider to account on scope, sequencing, timelines and cost. You need to be technically credible with it. You'll review designs, sanity-check Azure architecture and unblock your engineers. You won't be expected to ship Function Apps every day, and you won't be building the estate yourself. You'll be answerable for it. What you'd be doing Leading and line managing a team of three to four integration engineers Owning the migration off MuleSoft Anypoint onto Azure Integration Services, keeping legacy flows safely running until they retire Managing the commercial and delivery relationship with the incumbent provider, including challenging estimates and holding them to the programme timeline Owning integration architecture and standards across a busy estate of SaaS platforms and internal systems Owning resilience, monitoring and error handling, including partial failure across multi-target flows What we're looking for Proven vendor and commercial accountability. You've held a supplier or managed service provider to account on a real delivery, challenged their estimates and escalated when they were off track. This matters most. Experience leading an integration estate through a platform migration or decommission. MuleSoft is helpful, but the platform matters less than having done it. Real experience leading engineers, either line management or technical leadership. Enough Azure to hold your own in a design review. APIM, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus and Event Grid. Strong API and integration design judgement, and a clear view on resilience. Recent hands-on Azure build is welcome but not essential. Full UK right to work required, including via a dependant or spousal visa or settled status. Sponsorship may be considered in limited circumstances.
