We’re partnering with a leading broadcast technology company to secure a Contract Electronics Design Engineer supporting both new product development (NPI) and existing product platforms. This is a hands‑on role working across the full product lifecycle — from concept through to production — within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic systems from concept to production, including schematic capture and PCB layout
- Support both new product introduction (NPI) and ongoing product improvements
- Manage component lifecycles, including obsolescence planning
- Perform testing, validation, and fault‑finding to component level within full system environments
- Contribute to EMC, safety, and environmental compliance testing
- Collaborate with Software, Firmware, Motion Control, and Mechanical teams on integrated system design
- Work closely with Test teams to resolve electrical and electronic issues
- Support Manufacturing Engineering with production support, test equipment design, and issue resolution
- Produce clear design documentation, specifications, and development plans
- Engage with external suppliers including PCB manufacturers and design partners
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in electronics design, including analogue and digital circuit design
- Proven background in PCB design and schematic capture tools
- Experience working with complex, high-performance systems (ideally within broadcast, robotics, or similar industries)
- Knowledge of microprocessors, programmable logic, or embedded systems
- Hands‑on approach to testing, validation, and problem‑solving
- Comfortable working in cross‑functional engineering teams
