Proudly Anglo-Swiss, our watches are designed in Maidenhead and engineered and assembled at our atelier in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. We sell directly to customers in more than 100 countries through e-commerce and a growing international showroom network.
As the business continues to scale, we are investing in the people, systems and operational capability required to protect our customer experience, high-value inventory and reputation for quality.
Role title: Logistics Associate
Reporting to: Fulfilment & PPD Manager
Salary: Competitive salary plus benefits
Role Summary
The Logistics Associate will support the accurate and timely movement of customer and showroom orders through the final stages of the logistics operation. The role will focus primarily on post-pack checks and dispatch, ensuring every parcel is correctly prepared, recorded and handed to the appropriate carrier within the required service level.
This is a practical, hands-on role in a fast-moving environment handling high-value products. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, follow established processes consistently and understand that the final dispatch check is a critical control protecting both the customer and Christopher Ward.
Primary Responsibilities
- Complete post-pack verification of customer and showroom orders, checking the order, product, accessories, personalisation, packaging and destination details against the system record.
- Prepare parcels for dispatch, including the correct carrier service, shipping label, tracking information and any required supporting documentation.
- Process orders accurately through the warehouse and order-management systems so that stock, order and shipment statuses remain complete and up to date.
- Complete carrier manifests, close-out processes and physical handover of shipments to DHL and other approved providers.
- Ensure orders are dispatched within daily cut-off times and agreed service levels, escalating risks or backlogs promptly.
- Identify and stop incorrect, incomplete or damaged orders before dispatch, placing items into the appropriate exception or quarantine process.
- Handle watches and associated products carefully and securely, maintaining Christopher Ward's required presentation and quality standards.
Further Responsibilities
- Support the investigation and correction of dispatch errors, failed deliveries, address issues, damages, carrier exceptions and returned parcels.
- Maintain accurate records and paperwork for domestic and international shipments, following approved customs and compliance procedures and escalating uncertainty rather than making assumptions.
- Keep the dispatch area organised, secure and ready for operation, with clear segregation of completed, held, quarantined and carrier-ready parcels.
- Follow all SOPs, security controls, health and safety requirements and loss-prevention procedures, particularly when handling high-value stock.
- Contribute to daily operational reporting by recording output, errors, exceptions and reasons for missed service levels accurately.
- Participate in process training, team briefings and continuous-improvement activity, raising recurring issues and practical improvement ideas.
- Provide flexible support to picking, packing, stock counts, goods inward and other logistics activities when operational volumes require it.
Performance Measures
- Orders dispatched within the agreed daily SLA and carrier cut-off.
- Right-first-time dispatch accuracy, including product, address, service and documentation.
- Accurate and timely system updates, manifests and shipment records.
- Low levels of preventable dispatch errors, missed scans, rejected parcels and carrier exceptions.
- Consistent compliance with handling, security, quality and health and safety procedures.
Experience & Skills
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, fulfilment, dispatch, retail operations or another process-driven environment is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to complete repetitive control checks accurately, even during busy periods.
- Reliable, organised and able to work at pace without compromising quality or security.
- Comfortable using computer systems, scanners, shipping platforms and standard workplace software; full training will be provided.
- Clear communication skills and confidence escalating errors, risks or uncertainties promptly.
- A practical team player who takes ownership, follows agreed processes and supports colleagues across the wider logistics operation.
- A strong customer mindset and pride in presenting products to the standard expected of a premium international watch brand.
Full-time, Monday to Friday, based at our Maidenhead headquarters. The role is operational and site-based, with occasional flexibility required during peak trading periods.
Benefits include a discretionary bonus, pension contribution, 25 days' holiday plus your birthday off, private health insurance, life insurance, generous staff discount, free breakfast, free on-site parking, cycle-to-work scheme and salary-sacrifice childcare scheme.
