We’re looking for a technically capable and solutions-focused Systems Applications Specialist to support our growing international expansion, with a particular focus on our physical presence in the US. This is a fully remote role based on UK hours of 15:00–22:00, with occasional travel to the UK office as required. The role reports into the System Application Manager.
This position has three main areas of responsibility:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of our business systems.
- Assisting with business systems projects.
- Carrying out business systems testing and documentation.
You’ll be a key member of our technical team, working closely with internal teams and third-party partners, becoming part of a central point of reference for all business systems queries, projects, and testing.
Responsibilities
Business Systems Lead
- Become a super user and advocate for our core business systems across the organisation.
- Act as the first point of contact for issues raised internally or by third parties — logging, resolving, or escalating them through to resolution.
- Supporting in establish and maintain clear protocols and procedures, ensuring consistent and auditable system use — with regular proactive system checks and reporting.
- Keep documentation up to date, communicate new releases and features, and deliver training as needed.
- Deliver induction training and refresher sessions to help teams get the most from our systems.
Business Systems Projects
- Work with the business to understand project briefs, defining clear scopes and liaising with third-party providers where needed.
- Lead and manage projects; overseeing outsourced development, tracking milestones, and communicating progress and risks to stakeholders.
- Ensure smooth delivery; removing blockers, deploying solutions in a controlled way, and ensuring staff are informed and trained where required.
Business Systems Testing
- Support with project story creation to map out release requirements.
- Design and run robust functional and non-functional test cases to ensure end-to-end quality for new hardware, software, and processes.
- Maintain and update technical documentation post-release.
- Support the roll-out of new functionality through training.
- Work with third parties as needed to ensure quality and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
Your Experience Might Include:
- Previous experience working in a technical support, IT support, or business systems support role.
- Implementing SaaS applications and integrations, with a good understanding of web/server technologies and web languages.
- Basic project management and systems testing experience.
- Working knowledge of SQL and ability to query databases to investigate issues.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (preferred), plus Zendesk and RingCentral (beneficial).
- Experience with change, incident, and problem management systems.
- Background in retail or ecommerce (advantageous).
