We're working with an award-winning firm offering:
- Long-term progression pathway
- Friendly and supportive team environment
We've just taken on a new role with one of our clients based locally in Weybridge - an established SME accountancy practice with an amazing company culture, offering someone the opportunity to join their team and develop over time!
This would be an ideal role for anyone who has 3-5+ years experience of working in an accountancy practice, and solid knowledge of statutory accounts (and ideally tax and VAT). Being ACA/ACCA qualified would be ideal, but it's certainly not a 'must'.
The Role
This role is varied, and no two days will be the same. You'll have the chance to work with an exciting, varied, and technical client portfolio requiring you to be hands-on and very client-focussed - lots of advisory work!
Day to day activities include:
- Managing a client portfolio, taking a 'hands-on' approach - meeting clients (virtually and F2F), regular advisory work throughout the year, and giving them a strategic insight into the performance and growth of their business.
- Preparing and reviewing (depending on complexity) year-end stat accounts under FRS 102, 102 1A, and some 105, along with corporation tax returns.
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns during tax season for UHNWI, along with CGT work (training can be provided).
- Preparation and review of management accounts - quarterly and monthly.
- Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns completed by junior staff.
Progression & Development
This role will give you the opportunity to progress and develop over time - you'll take on more responsibilities as you become more capable, and will have the chance to grow and develop into a senior position within the business. This is something that can be discussed at interview.
Flexibility
The role also offers hybrid working, some flexibility with hours, and that kind of 'mutual understanding' from an employer that should be reasonable, but can be hard to find!
Details
Monday to Friday (full time) Weybridge, with other office locations around Surrey available. Salary £45-55k depending on experience.
