We’re working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in central Reading who are looking to appoint a Tax Manager as part of their continued growth. This is a great opportunity to step into a key role within the firm, working closely with partners while managing your own portfolio and supporting the wider team.

The Role:

  • A mixed tax role with a blend of compliance and advisory work, offering plenty of variety.
  • Managing a portfolio of personal and/or corporate tax clients
  • Reviewing tax returns and overseeing compliance processes
  • Handling a range of work relating to Trusts, Estates, and IHT
  • Providing advisory services to clients (planning, structuring, etc.)
  • Acting as a key point of contact for client queries
  • Supporting and developing junior staff
  • Working closely with partners on more complex projects

What we’re looking for:

  • CTA qualified (or equivalent) with strong tax experience, or QBE
  • Experience within an accountancy practice is essential
  • Confident managing client relationships
  • Strong technical knowledge across tax (personal, corporate, or mixed)
  • A proactive and commercial approach

Basic Details:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 (DOE)
