Why This Role Matters
Based in Christie’s Milan, working as part of the Chairman’s Office and 20th & 21st Century Art team Italy, the primary focus of the role is to provide exceptional client management and administrative support to the Chairman’s Office and Department. This requires a highly efficient operator to ensure the myriad of tasks are managed effectively. The role is client facing and requires interest in the art market and languages.
How You\\\’ll Make an Impact
Primary focus – Supporting office of Chairman 20/21 Italy.
- Organizing and handling all travel bookings
- Support Chairman with prioritizing client responses via email / telephone, reply to documentation
- Scheduling client facing meetings & preparing meeting rooms and materials
- Gathering materials and information for interviews, meetings, talks, events, travel & engagement
- Drafting PowerPoint presentations for lectures, events, and promotional activities
- Assisting in the preparation of valuation documents and proofreading proposals
- Assisting in client project work such as liaising with production teams on collection books
Secondary focus – Supporting 20/21 Team Italy
- Supporting volume of artworks photographed locally by organizing and overseeing the photo order of lots consigned in Italy for export Private Sales and export Auctions
- Supporting to coordinate the photographer’s workflow and coordinate with the Reprints team to address any issues that may arise for the private sale and export lots for photography
- Supporting archive-based expertise by collecting, submitting, and managing documentation required by the Italy-based Archive for expertise purposes for any private sale and export auction lots
- Supporting research requests for 20/21
- Exhibition support for the Italian exhibition tours in Turin, Rome & Milan, and private sale exhibitions
- Overall assistance & support to the Specialist team: drafting PowerPoint presentations for meetings, talks, lectures, team or client bookings
What you’ll bring to the team
- Fluent in Italian, English, (French, or other strong language skills preferable)
- Proven ability to provide best in class approach to client service
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong administrative experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise
- Fully conversant with Word and Excel packages
- Excellent telephone manner and very strong client service skills
- Ability to work with discretion when dealing with highly confidential information
