Why This Role Matters We are seeking a Senior Salesforce developer with strong functional consulting skills to play a key role in the delivery of enterprise-scale CRM transformation initiatives, with a particular focus on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC). This role combines deep technical expertise with business-facing consulting capability, requiring an individual who can both design and build scalable Salesforce solutions and engage effectively with stakeholders across business and technology teams. The successful candidate will have experience working with financial services or banking clients, ideally within a top-tier consulting environment, and will be comfortable operating in complex, regulated environments.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Solution Design & Architecture
    • Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure Salesforce solutions, with a focus on Financial Services Cloud.
    • Contribute to solution architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise data models, integration patterns, and security requirements.
    • Advise on best practices for FSC, including client data models, loan management, KYC processes, and regulatory considerations.
  • Development & Delivery
    • Design, develop and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWC (Lightning Web Components), Aura, Integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware), Platform features across FSC, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud.
    • Own end-to-end development lifecycle, including code quality, testing, and deployment.
    • Drive adherence to development standards, governance, and DevOps practices.
  • Functional Consulting & Business Engagement
    • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and shape solutions, not just implement them.
    • Lead or support workshops, discovery sessions, and design discussions.
    • Translate business requirements into technical designs, user stories, and implementation plans.
    • Provide clear, business-friendly communication of technical concepts and trade-offs.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
    • Act as a trusted advisor to business users, product owners, and senior stakeholders.
    • Bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout delivery.
    • Support key governance forums, including architecture design authority sessions.
  • Delivery Leadership
    • Mentor junior developers and contribute to team capability building.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, testers, and external partners.
    • Support planning activities such as estimation, sprint planning, and release management.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Technical Expertise
    • Strong hands-on experience with Apex, LWC, Salesforce APIs, integrations, Data modelling and platform configuration.
    • Proven experience implementing Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC).
    • Experience across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
    • Understanding of security, data governance, and compliance in Salesforce.
  • Industry Experience
    • Experience delivering Salesforce solutions for financial services, banking, wealth management, or insurance clients.
    • Familiarity with loan management, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Consulting Background
    • Experience in a consulting environment (Big 4, tier-one consultancy, or SI partner).
    • Strong track record of client-facing delivery and stakeholder engagement.
    • Ability to operate in complex, multi-stakeholder programmes.
  • Communication & Soft Skills
    • Excellent business-facing communication skills.
    • Ability to explain technical concepts in clear, non-technical language.
    • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
    • Collaborative, proactive, and delivery-focused approach.
  • Desirable Qualifications
    • Salesforce Certifications: Platform Developer I & II, Financial Services Cloud Accredited Professional, Application/System Architect (or progressing towards).
    • Experience with integration platforms (Azure), Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum), Data migration and transformation projects.
  • Key Characteristics
    • Equally comfortable writing code and advising business stakeholders.
    • Ability to challenge and shape requirements, not just implement them.
    • Strong ownership mindset with high attention to detail and quality.
    • Experience working in highly regulated environments.
