Why This Role Matters

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Tax Analyst to join our group tax team. This position will directly assist the two UK based Senior Tax Managers in matters of UK and International Taxes covering both UK Corporation, UK Employment and International taxes.

How You\’ll Make an Impact

  1. Corporate Tax – compliance, reporting and advisory:
    • Assisting with the UK tax compliance process, including preparation of UK tax disclosures, preparation and submission of UK tax returns, and allocation of group relief across the UK group.
    • Dealing with queries both from colleagues outside of the tax team, as well as from external auditors.
    • Coordination and preparation of the R&D tax credit claim.
    • Assistance with the CFC review.
    • Dealing with HMRC correspondence and communicating with HMRC where appropriate.
    • Researching and presenting to the wider tax team on Corporation Tax updates and areas of interest.
    • Partnering with and advising the business on relevant tax considerations.
    • Assistance with the annual UK group reporting process for the global business, including preparation of the UK tax calculation, review of overseas tax balances and co-ordination of the final files to provide to finance and our external auditors.
    • Assistance with forecasting, particularly in relation to the global effective tax rate, and global tax payments.
  2. International Tax:
    • Preparation of key inputs to the transfer pricing model.
    • Assisting with the global Transfer Pricing documentation, methodology and monitoring.
    • CBCR and Pillar 2 Reporting.
    • Working with overseas teams to support commercial projects.
    • Withholding Tax applications and monitoring.
    • Partnering with the business on new projects and initiatives.
    • International Tax Risk Management including global business travel monitoring.
  3. Employment Tax (partnering with HR and external advisors):
    • Preparation of the Short Term Business Visitor submission.
    • Providing ongoing IR35 advice and support to the business.
    • Co-ordination and review of the PAYE Settlement Agreement.
    • Supporting the HR team and wider business functions by researching and giving advice on ad hoc employment tax queries.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly in explaining tax concepts to wider finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate tax-related role.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with international tax treaties and regulations.
  • Experience with R&D tax credit claims and capital allowance claims.
  • Knowledge of UK Employment tax laws.
