The Repair Technician repairs equipment to Christie Lites standards.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses and fixes issues with CL rental equipment.
  • Repairs electrical and/or mechanical faults in Lighting, Control and Special FX products including ancillary equipment such as main distribution and networking.
  • Limits electronic repairs to circuit board level.
  • Modifies and upgrades ORPL equipment to CL standards as specified in CL Technotes.
  • Records all repairs in Repair Tracking Systems.
  • Places parts orders when not in stock.
  • Carries out preventative maintenance as outlined in the Service Reference Guide.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensures all tools and supplies are returned to proper storage areas at the end of shift.
  • Ensures equipment waiting for repair is stored in an organized and tidy manner.
  • Cleans workstation and common areas as assigned.
  • Removes recycling and waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Informs Department Head of low stocks of supplies.
