The Role

We are looking for a Life and Business Protection Consultant to generate and manage new business through warm leads gained from our sector specialists within Christie & Co and Christie Finance. You will manage client relationships, ensure tailored coverage solutions while maintaining compliance and profitability. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and enjoys the challenge of growing a book of business and converting existing clients.

In this role you will:

  • Provide strategic advisory on Life, Key Person, and Business Loan Insurance, alongside Shareholder Protection, to fortify business resilience and mitigate critical operational risks for clients.
  • Close sales and ensure policies are set up in a timely manner.
  • Build long-term relationships internally with colleagues within Christie & Co and Christie Finance.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling and growth.
  • Keep ahead of industry, product and regulatory changes.

What we are looking for

The suitable candidate for this role would bring:

  • Experience in providing strategic advisory services for Life Insurance solutions, including Key Person Insurance, Shareholder Protection, and Employee Benefits, with a primary focus on the SME sector.
  • A well-founded understanding of the fundamentals of Insurance and its legal context and operation of the Insurance marketplace.
  • A proven track record of maintaining strong conversion rates in quoting and selling to new and existing clients.
  • A strong understanding of Life Insurance, business protection products and other solutions designed to safeguard assets, manage debt and secure income.
  • Professionalism, with an engaging and friendly manner maintaining a client-led approach.
  • Strong relationship building, influencing and team building skills.
  • Ability to use software for statistical analysis and predictive modelling.
  • Have a CII Certification (R05) or be working towards one.
