Purpose of the role:
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Insurance Sales Manager who will be responsible for leading, developing and growing the New Business Sales team. As part of the leadership team, you will report to the Managing Director and support with implementing growth plans. Your results orientated nature will encourage you to drive the team to success. Working across our Group Companies you will collaborate with sector specialists to leverage our unique business model and provide the team with access to warm leads. You will be responsible for shaping the direction of the New Business Sales team and make an impact in the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and manage the commercial insurance sales team (new business)
- Contribute to and manage the commercial insurance sales team target
- Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to drive growth
- Collaborate with the marketing team to contribute to building a strong company brand
- Support, train and mentor the sales team members to develop a culture of continuous learning and high performance
- Produce MI reports as required to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, lead generation and average deal size
- Identify areas for income generation & growth
Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable ability to achieve and exceed new business sales targets
- Proven commercial insurance knowledge
- Strong relationship building, influencing and team building skills
- Ability to support and mentor others to encourage performance
- Proficient in financial analysis and economic principles to manage policies and claims
- Impeccable customer service and communication skills
- CII Cert or CII Dip qualifications
