This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our professional and friendly team here in Tonbridge, Kent.

We continue to grow by providing class leading customer service across multiple sectors such as Construction, Marine, Defence, Power Generation and Rail.
Position: We are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator, to run our Vertical Machining Centres.
You will be conversant with Fanuc controls, and can demonstrate a clear understanding of engineering drawings and machining symbols, having the ability to:
- Set, operate and program CNC milling machines efficiently producing products to drawings and specification.
- Plan your own production schedules to produce parts as required by the Production Manager.
- Positioning parts into jigs and fixtures prior to machining.
- Performs first piece dimensional inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required by C&G quality standards.
- Set up and run new programs.
- Change CNC tool offsets.
- Perform minor preventive maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities, making sure the machine is set and left in a safe condition.
- To have a positive and flexible approach to working and good engineering practice.
- To maintain and improve productivity within machine capability to ensure production deadlines are met.
- Once trained, load and unload material manually or with forklift, depending on weight and size.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A competent machinist either qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or has suitable relevant experience .
- Safety, quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, and thoroughness of work performed.
- Understands health and safety on the shop floor.
- Develops good working relationships with the other employees.
- Has a good working knowledge of the production environment and has ability to respond to change.
