Christie-Elite Nurseries is recruiting Seasonal Nursery Workers to support its busy forestry nursery operation in Forres. This is a hands-on role suited to reliable, practical people who are comfortable working outdoors in all weather and want active, physical work as part of a supportive team.
The role:
- You will support production teams across both bareroot and cell-grown departments.
- You will sort, grade, and pack plants to quality standards on the grading line.
- You will prepare and line out stock for grading and dispatch.
- You will carry out manual and mechanical lifting of bareroot trees.
- You will follow health, safety, and biosecurity procedures at all times.
- You will work flexibly across departments and support colleagues as required.
Working pattern:
This is a temporary, fixed-term role for the planting season. Expected hours are around 39 per week. The role is based in Forres.
What we are looking for:
- You will be reliable, punctual, and willing to work outdoors in all weather.
- You will be comfortable with physical, manual work and able to maintain pace and accuracy.
- You will be a positive team player with good communication skills.
- You will be willing to learn and follow training and instructions.
Desirable experience:
- Forklift experience or licences, including rough terrain or counterbalance.
- PA1 and PA6 pesticide certificates.
- Previous horticulture, forestry, or agricultural experience.
