With 90 years of experience, we offer professional brokerage and advisory services, our team has a network of 13 offices in the UK along with 12 in Europe, employing the largest childcare and education team in UK Real Estate. Purpose of the role

Due to a recent surge in demand for services in the SEND (specialist education) and children’s social care sectors, we are seeking a dynamic business agent to join our Childcare & Education team in our Manchester or London office. This brokerage, mergers and acquisition role will have a national UK remit with the successful candidate, working closely with our national team of regionally based agents, valuers and consultants.

This high-performing, collaborative individual will be tasked to build on our established foundations in the SEND and children's services sectors, developing new relationships to grow our business and build our UK brokerage market share.

About the team

Our award-winning childcare and education team are an experienced, collaborative and supporting group of 11 colleagues providing nationwide coverage from our childcare hubs in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and London. Their expertise spans across a wide range of Childcare & Education businesses that care and educate children from birth to 19 years . The team is most well-known for their day nursery sector transactional activity, but they also work closely with clients across the independent school, children’s social care and SEND – special educational needs and disabilities business property markets.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Collaboratively focus on growing our brokerage activity in the SEND and Children’s social care markets
  • Generate relationships and develop new business, winning agency mandates across the children’s social care and SEND education markets, through various prospecting methods.
  • While tasked with focusing on building relationships with companies that have multiple settings, you will also work closely with our regional teams to facilitate increased volumes in transacting businesses that trade from individual settings/services.
  • Register and maintain client requirements on our Salesforce CRM system
  • Liaise closely with sector team colleagues in securing, listing, marketing and managing opportunities for sale
  • Negotiate and agree deals, manage lawyers and the sale process
  • Provide regular client updates on instruction activity

What we are looking for

The suitable candidate for this role would bring:

  • Drive, dedication, professionalism and enthusiasm
  • A background in property sales and/or commercial experience derived from working with operational businesses in, or associated to education, SEND, children’s services or other commercial business property environments
  • The ability to work autonomously and equally as part of a team
  • The acumen to engage with high-level professionals
  • Numeracy and literacy literate
  • Strong IT skills with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
