We are looking for someone who:
- Has a strong and active Christian faith.
- Is an experienced English teacher with proven success at KS3/KS4.
- Can lead staff, strengthen teaching and learning, and shape curriculum.
- Has strong behaviour management and pastoral instincts.
- Is flexible and able to thrive in a small‑school context.
In this role you will:
- Help in the logistics of our secondary teaching and learning.
- Oversee curriculum, assessment and standards.
- Teach English at KS3–KS4.
- Line‑manage secondary teachers, TAs and volunteers.
- Be in a daily walk with students to help them understand who they are in Jesus and who they have been created to be as individuals.
This post has an Occupational Requirement, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, for the postholder to be a practising Christian who is able to fully support, uphold and model the Christian ethos of Maranatha Christian School. Given the evolving needs of our growing school, the successful candidate will be expected to show flexibility regarding reasonable adjustments to the role as the school develops.
