Please note this is a 6 month Fixed term contract, with a hybrid pattern of 2-3 days per week worked from our Bradford support hub. The salary shown is for full time hours and would be paid pro rata for part time. Flexible hours would be considered for the right candidate.

The Church & Supporter Engagement Department exists to build a movement of supporters and churches giving, praying, and taking action to end UK poverty. All of our engagement with churches relies on accurate and up to date information on the churches that we need to connect with. This role sits in the Church and Supporter Care Team. The Church Data Administrator is also part of the Mission and Movement Directorate, who bring together fundraising, communications, advocacy and discipleship functions.

Purpose: The Church Data Administrator is a fixed term role responsible for verifying and updating our church data records and designated contacts to a high standard, so that it can facilitate authentic engagement, streamlined communication and deeper partnership with local churches. The role will also use the fixed term period to create, and begin, a yearly review schedule, to ensure that records remain accurate.

Accountabilities:

  • Cleaning the Data: Manually checking identified fields on the church and associated church leader records.
  • Fixing Church Records: Working within the limits of our current system to make sure our church data is as high-quality as possible. This includes exploring the use of publicly available church databases.
  • Connect with the right stakeholders: making sure that church facing teams are aware of development and progress in this work.
  • Supporting the Connection Team: Providing the team with accurate, 'ready-to-call' lists so they can hit their goal of 60 calls a day.
  • Setting Up a Yearly Review: Creating a 12-month cleaning schedule to keep this information updated in the future.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Being willing to pray with each other and fully engaged with our Christ-centred culture.
  • Encouraging friends, family and other contacts to support the charity through the Life Changer programme and other fundraising initiatives.
  • Attending annual CAP staff conferences and team revive days.
  • Completing all compulsory CAP training within the given timescales.
  • This role falls within the scope of the FCA's conduct rules, and you will be provided with training as to how these apply to the role. It is your responsibility to ensure that you follow these conduct rules.

Measurable Outputs:

  • Requests to all UK denominations for church data information.
  • Number of public data lists sourced and evaluated for benefits.
  • Number of records, as agreed with line manager, verified, and updated accurately on a weekly basis.
  • All reports are required to be completed by agreed deadlines and timescales.
  • Clear cleaning schedule by end of month 5 of the contract, ready for handover.
  • Number of records updated as agreed with line manager.

  • Desirable: Experience with using Salesforce. Of church language (structures, roles, denominations).

Christian Commitment: The candidate must be able to give both verbal assent to and practical demonstration of Christians Against Poverty's Statement of Faith. Must be able to actively participate in prayer and worship, whether individually, in small groups, or corporately, as an expression of one's own personal faith and in line with CAP's Statement of Faith.
