On a modern residential estate, this house is just a few minutes walk to a bus stop with a regular service into the city centre. Within a 15-minute walk are local shops and cafes in the nearby village of Acomb. York is a wonderful city to explore!
The house was built in 1983 and has been extended over the years. It comprises a large entrance hall and cloakroom, living room with TV, DVD, log burner, piano, large kitchen/diner with usual amenities, sun-room, playroom, and downstairs toilet/shower/wet room.
A small trampoline, gymnastics bar, beam, and mat are available in the garage. The enclosed garden is mostly laid to lawn with flower borders and a large patio.
On the lawn is a metal climbing frame and swing. A large framed swimming pool with filter is available during the summer holidays, with instructions provided. More storage is available in the stables containing bikes, scooters, and other outdoor toys that can be used, all except one bike, but we\’ll make it clear which one.
The family attends Gateway Church in Acomb, York, just a 15-minute walk away. It is a lively church for all ages where house-swappers will be very welcome.
