ChristianaCare's Primary Care at Aston practice is looking for a detail‑oriented, adaptable, and highly organized Office Assistant I with strong communication skills and the ability to proactively solve problems in a fast‑paced environment. The Medical Office Assistant I schedules appointments with attention to insurance, greets patients while collecting necessary information, and processes referrals while maintaining confidentiality.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday: Day Shift

Duties / Responsibilities: The Medical Office Assistant I handles payments, verifies insurance coverage, coordinates referrals, and reconciles daily appointments and payments. They manage communications by answering calls, relaying messages, and using EMR systems to coordinate with providers and staff. The role includes updating patients, scheduling tests and appointments, maintaining medical records, resolving patient issues, supporting administrative tasks, and following safety protocols, with additional duties as needed.

Position Qualifications: High School Graduate or GED required. Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.

Hourly Pay Range: $17.32 - $25.12. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including, but not limited to, skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
