ChristianaCare's Primary Care at Aston, PA is seeking a professional, compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills. Our new hospital at the ChristianaCare Aston Campus is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We have a 10-bed inpatient unit for those who require overnight hospital stays, observation and testing. The emergency department treats common emergency care needs such as falls, injuries, heart attacks and strokes. We’re also adding a health center, opening in late October 2026, that will offer a comprehensive range of outpatient services.

Duties / Responsibilities: The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.
Position Qualifications: High School Graduate or GED required. A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including, without limitation, skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
