ChristianaCare's Gastroenterology at Glen Mills is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills. Gastroenterology at Glen Mills includes a team of expert gastroenterologists who provide comprehensive care for all digestive health needs. Our specialists are highly skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, ensuring our patients receive the best possible care.

Work Schedule: Mondays through Fridays: 7:45am - 4:15pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm. Shifts are based on current practice needs. No weekends or holidays. Flexibility to cover at our Havertown practice is strongly preferred.

Duties / Responsibilities: The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications: High School Graduate or GED required. A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
