Buckingham Futures are working on behalf of our client in Hertfordshire, providing an excellent opportunity for a Licensing Officer to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, monitor and review integrated, evidence-based strategies and policies for all licensing matters to support corporate, community and local objectives whilst meeting the Council’s statutory obligations.
- Achieve effective consultation, communication and publicity to key stakeholders regarding licensing strategies and policies.
- Act as the lead licensing professional providing operational direction to the licensing staff while being aware of the Council’s strategic licensing policies and concerns.
- Respond to the changing local and national agenda in relation to all licensing matters under the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005 and other licensing regimes.
- Support the work of the Licensing Compliance Officers and comply with reasonable requirements to meet service, corporate and legal objectives.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, ensuring good organisation, communication and work planning to meet licensing objectives.
- Provide advice, information and guidance on licensing matters and related areas as required.
- Advise residents, licensees, police, primary care trust and other statutory Responsible Authorities as needed, ensuring high levels of customer care at all times.
