Reporting to: Head of Operations
Join Care for Children — and help build a world of children in families. Care for Children is an international charity working with governments to transform child welfare systems - moving away from institutional care and towards safe, loving, family-based alternatives. Since 1998, our pioneering work in China has helped a generation of disadvantaged children grow up in families, not institutions. Now, with an ambitious new global strategy, we are expanding our reach so that every country can access the support needed to implement family-based care. This is a pivotal moment in our journey - and marketing has a vital role to play.
As our Marketing Manager, you will help shape how the world sees Care for Children.
The Role
This is a hands-on, strategic role for an experienced marketer who thrives in a mission-driven environment. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead our marketing across digital channels, campaigns and events. From strengthening our online presence and telling powerful stories of change, to leading marketing activity at Christian conferences and fundraising events, your work will directly support children and families around the world.

- Collaboration – Work with internal teams, partners, and agencies to deliver effective marketing within budget
- Events – Lead marketing around events (especially Christian conferences and fundraising events), ensuring strong promotion, booth presence, and follow-up
About You
You’ll be an experienced and creative marketing professional who combines strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach. You’ll be motivated by purpose as much as performance and excited to use your skills to make a lasting difference.
You’ll bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in marketing
- Strong competency in digital marketing, including website management, social media growth, and email marketing
- Experience in planning and delivering marketing around events
- Creative storyteller with excellent written and visual communication skills
- Confident using marketing tools (e.g. Google Analytics, email platforms, social media management)

- Passion for Care for Children’s vision to see a world of children in families
