Bible Society Northern Ireland seeks an enthusiastic and committed Programme Officer to support the growth and delivery of Healing Wounds of the Heart (Bible-Based Trauma Healing) across Northern Ireland. The postholder will coordinate and facilitate healing groups, equip church leaders, develop strategic partnerships across Churches and the voluntary Christian sector, and work to becoming an Advanced Trainer capable of building a sustainable network of local facilitators.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver Healing Wounds of the Heart groups across Northern Ireland.
- Support programme delivery, participant records and evaluations.
- Develop partnerships with churches from multiple denominations and organisations.
- Deliver Initial Equipping training for church leaders and volunteers.
- Recruit, mentor and support emerging facilitators.
- Facilitate targeted trauma-healing sessions for churches facing bereavement, domestic abuse, suicide impact, community trauma and other pastoral crises.
- Ensure programme activities are delivered in accordance with safeguarding procedures, maintaining appropriate confidentiality and professional boundaries, and following established referral and escalation pathways where concerns arise.
- Build a sustainable facilitator network and support progression towards Trainer-of-Facilitators pathways.
- Contribute to reporting, impact measurement, programme growth and sustainability.
