CFS is looking to appoint a PA to the Head Teacher with aspects of IT administration. We are entering an exciting period of change as we anticipate and prepare for the next generation of senior leadership. The 2026/27 academic year will provide an important period of transition, during which the future shape of leadership will be considered thoughtfully, strategically, and prayerfully. As such, this newly created role is being offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the school through this transitional phase.

The PA to the Head Teacher plays a pivotal role in enabling both the day‑to‑day effectiveness of the Head Teacher and wider leadership team, while also contributing to planning, coordination, and preparation for the years ahead. Given the significance of this period, we are seeking an energetic, adaptable, and confident individual who can assimilate information quickly, is comfortable with process mapping and organisational improvement, and is an excellent communicator. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape and support the next stage of CFS's development.

Hours
The role is full time on a 12 month fixed term basis.

About our school
Independent Sector, 170 to 200 pupils from 4 to 16. CFS is a faith venture within a parent collaborative setting, where young people learn to consider the world and themselves in a Christ‑centred way, and the next generation are actively discipled to equip them to serve society creatively and courageously. School families come from diverse ethnic and church backgrounds across the wider Merseyside region. We see working at CFS as part of our Christian calling to serve the church through education. The salary structure is consequently reflected in this vision.

More about the role
This is an opportunity to work in a fast‑paced school environment that values clarity of thought and a coherent understanding of the world shaped by a Christian world‑view. We are looking for a highly capable business professional who will take responsibility for providing day‑to‑day senior administrative support for the Head Teacher and oversight of Information Technology.

  • Can absorb complex information and identify priorities in a fast moving environment
  • Has exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing demands simultaneously without compromising quality or attention to detail
  • Is flexible and creative in their approach
  • Demonstrates a high level of personal ownership, initiative, and accountability
  • Is proactive, anticipating needs and solving problems before they arise
  • Communicates with confidence, professionalism, and discretion at all levels
  • Is highly organised, reliable, and able to work effectively within a small team
  • Can handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and good judgement
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and remains calm under pressure
  • Willing to contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate

This is not a traditional administrative role. The successful candidate will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, initiative, and professional judgement, acting as a trusted partner to the Head Teacher and supporting the effective delivery of the school's strategic priorities. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational capability, the ability to manage significant workloads, and the confidence to work across both operational and strategic matters. Additionally, the applicants must be practising Christians (occupational requirement under Part 1 of schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010).
