The department manager is responsible for leading and managing a team within the Men's and Women's RTW as well as Baby Dior, ensuring the highest level of client experience and product expertise. They focus on team support, coaching, recruitment, development and training; and driving business for the department to achieve the sales targets, retain clients and develop new ones.
Job Responsibilities- Team Management And Development: Recruit, lead, motivate, and coach the team to achieve the best in their abilities and lead to commercial success while ensuring exceptional client experience. Identify training needs and ensure all team members receive appropriate training and development opportunities. Provide constructive feedback to support team members' growth and success.
- Product Management And Sales: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the department's product offerings, including features, benefits, and trends. Oversee the dedicated department's product assortment, ensuring optimal inventory levels and product presentation. Drive sales performance by achieving set department sales targets and implementing effective sales strategies. Collaborate with the Store Manager, other Department Managers and the operations or back of house teams located in the store to ensure compliance with store standards, maintaining a professional environment.
- Client Experience And Satisfaction: Ensure that the highest level of desire is created, by making clients dream through exceptional storytelling. Monitor client feedback and implement necessary improvements to enhance client satisfaction within the department. Give meaning to the measurement of client experience and lay the foundations for a client-centric culture. Support teams to understand the root causes and solutions to provide exceptional service. Coach the teams to support the client experience initiatives.
- Operational Excellence: Overseeing operational processes within the department, collaborating closely with the Operations Manager. This includes managing activities such as shipping and receiving, ensuring smooth inventory management, and maintaining efficient workflows on the sales floor. Maintain a well-organized, clean, and visually appealing department environment to attract and retain clients. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations, within the department.
- Previous management retail experience ideally in the luxury goods.
- Expertise in Women's & Men's RTW, and Baby Apparel.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Outstanding sense of customer service, sense of initiative and commercial creativity with fashion sensitivity.
- A passion for Christian Dior and our collections.
- Strong knowledge of fashion and trends.
- Fluency in a second language (preferred).
