This role is central to growing our profile, building meaningful relationships with local businesses, supporters, and stakeholders, and securing the partnerships and funding needed to help our charity thrive. The successful candidate will be a strong relationship builder with considerable marketing and fundraising experience and a genuine passion for our mission. They will understand the transformative power of local support and be able to communicate our story with authenticity, credibility, and impact. As a Christian charity, our work is inspired by Christian values of compassion, integrity, and service. The postholder should be someone who has a personal Christian faith and is committed to the charity's Christian ethos, values, and mission and is comfortable in representing the organisation in faith and community contexts. Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing and CommunicationsDevelop and implement an effective marketing and communications strategy that raises awareness of the charity's mission and impact. Create compelling campaigns across digital, print, social media, and traditional marketing channels. Strengthen the charity's brand and ensure consistent messaging across all communications. Produce engaging content that demonstrates the impact of our work and inspires people to support our mission. Measure and evaluate marketing activity to maximise reach and engagement. Fundraising and PartnershipsDevelop and deliver a fundraising strategy focused on sustainable income growth. Build and nurture relationships with local businesses, corporate partners, trusts, community organisations, churches, and individual supporters. Organise the charitys representation at networking events, meetings, and community activities. Steward existing supporters to encourage long-term engagement and investment. Stakeholder EngagementAct as a passionate ambassador for the charity. Build trusted relationships with businesses, schools, community leaders, churches, and other key stakeholders. Deliver engaging presentations that communicate the charity's vision, impact, and future ambitions. Inspire supporters by demonstrating how local investment creates lasting change. Person SpecificationEssential ExperienceDemonstrated experience in marketing, communications, or fundraising. A proven track record of developing successful marketing campaigns. Experience building partnerships with businesses, community organisations, and stakeholders. Demonstrable success in generating income through fundraising, sponsorship, or partnership development. Experience using digital marketing and social media to engage audiences. Essential Skills and AttributesGood communication and presentation skills. A confident and engaging networker who enjoys building meaningful relationships. A great storyteller, able to communicate the charity's impact with passion and authenticity. Commercial awareness alongside a strong commitment to charitable purpose. Experience working within the voluntary, education, community, or faith sector.
