This Saturday, 7 June from 9.30am – 3pm, our Open Day offers the opportunity to learn more about our courses, explore our campus and hear first-hand from our current students and teaching staff about learning and living in Belfast. For those unable to join us this weekend, there will be another Open Day on Saturday 6 September from 9.30am – 3pm. Online registration is open for both students and parents, guardians and teachers.
Studying at Queen’s is even better when you know you’re living somewhere safe, comfortable, and affordable. First year students from Northern Ireland are guaranteed a place in Queen’s Accommodation or with our nominated partners if they reside more than 45 miles from the main University campus. They must have firmly accepted their university offer and have submitted an online application for accommodation by 30 June 2025 midday (12pm). Students living 45 miles or closer to the main campus will be prioritised based on those who, on 30 June 2025 midday (12pm), have firmly accepted their undergraduate offer and have submitted an online application for accommodation. These allocations will be prioritised in order of distance from the main campus, starting with students living furthest away.

Dentistry Open Days
Thursday 19– Thursday 26 June 2025, 9.30am – 12pm or 1.30pm – 4pm. Our Dental programme is seen as one of the most innovative in the UK and has been recognised in external reviews for its excellence and high quality teaching standards and facilities. Queen’s is providing an opportunity for prospective students to attend an open day at the school. The programme for the event will include a review of the course, career opportunities, a tour of the Dental School and a question and answer session. There will be an opportunity for students to ‘try their hand’ in our Clinical Techniques Lab as well as meet and chat to our current students.
School of Biological Sciences Widening Participation Event
Wednesday 25 June 2025, 10.30am – 2.30pm Queen’s University Belfast. The School of Biological Sciences is holding a Careers and Courses event for AS-Level students from widening participation backgrounds, interested in studying for a career in the biosciences, spanning Biochemistry to Zoology to Food Science. Students under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a teacher, parent or guardian to attend this event.
Event Schedule:
- 10.30am – Soft arrival with light refreshments in School of Biological Sciences upper foyer / atrium
- 10.45am – General introduction to event, the School and our programmes available in the lecture theatre
- 11.00am – Careers and Courses Talk, introduction to Placements
- 11.15am – Alumni and Employer’s Talk about employability skills and career opportunities
- 12.30pm – Lunch
- 01.15pm – Subject Specific Talks with Lecturers
- 02.30pm – Event Finishes

Moving To Queen’s: A Guide For New Students Webinar
Tuesday 29 July, 6pm – 7pm. Our Moving to Queen’s webinar is packed with lots of useful information to guide students planning to commence their studies with us through the new academic year and beyond and help them make the most of their university experience. They will discover essential information and top tips on studying and life at Queen’s from pre-arrival to settling in.
Engineering Experience Northern Ireland (3 day residential course)
Wednesday 6 – Friday 8 August 2025 Queen’s University Belfast. Delivered by The Smallpeice Trust and in partnership with Thales, this course invites students aged 12-14 to learn about three different engineering topics that they could study in the future and pursue as a career. Combining fun, action-packed days with a programme of evening social activities, this course will be delivered by experienced STEM Engagement Specialists.
Social Work Information Evening
Wednesday 8 October 2025, 6pm – 8pm Queen’s University Belfast. Students thinking of training to be a Social Worker are invited to our Social Work Information Evening where we will answer their questions and explain the Social Work application process, the course content and how the course is delivered. They will hear from our research-active staff, current students, and admissions staff. We are one of the leading centres of Social Work education in the UK. Our Social Work training is delivered in partnership with social work agencies, where you will develop core skills valued by service users, carers, and employers.
