We are looking for two Trainee Machine Operatives to join our team at Abernethy. This is a new and exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for operating our VFFS, check weighing, and automated equipment.
At Branston, potatoes are our business, supplying both fresh and prepared products to one of the biggest retailers within the UK. The role is based at our Fresh factory, which has recently undergone significant developments, with new automation and machinery installed as part of our continuous improvement plans.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be a key part of our operations. Daily duties will include:
- Operate VFFS and check weigh equipment as per standard operating procedures.
- Carry out daily checks on equipment and report any defects promptly.
- Undertake routine checks on the quality of products, ensuring they meet customer specifications.
- Coordinate and motivate the team working within your assigned production line, being the first point of contact for any issues.
- Champion health and safety best practices.
