This role is key in supporting the trading function to drive maximum sales and profitability. What you will be doing:
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with growers, ensuring adequate conditioned stock is available at all times to meet customer needs.
- Actively monitor and communicate any quality issues to growers, coordinating alternative outlets when required.
- Develop and maintain regular contact with growers throughout the entire season, conducting farm visits and phone calls. Perform annual reviews to assess performance and strengthen relationships.
- Keep the Procurement Manager informed about any potential issues affecting purchases, sales, or operations. Maintain close coordination with the Procurement Coordinator and Finance team to manage customer credit limits, payment terms, and manage business financial risks.
- Regularly update all relevant sites about trading activities.
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and in place before proceeding with any transactions (sales or purchases), including due diligence documents, passports, and other required certifications.
