As our expert category manager, you will create consumer and category insights to deliver commercial solutions, develop customer relationships, and be the key link between internal and external relationships. You will also manage, motivate and support the development of the category team.
What you will be doing:
- Develop Branston categories through qualitative and quantitative research, insight & trends
- Develop strong category relationships both internally and externally
- Strategic reviews of major trends and opportunities
- Drive short and long term actionable consumer and category insights to deliver commercial solutions
- Create and implement yearly trade marketing plans for our categories
- Review and deliver categories, recommendations and new product launches
- Using Dunnhumby to gain insights on shoppers, formats, tiers to assist with decision making process
- Create monthly action plans addressing needs of the category
- Support the Sales & Marketing team in Brand development
What we want from you:
Essential
- FMCG or retail background with a passion for food
- Brand experience
- Own label category manager
- Ability to build good working relationships at all levels
- Understanding and skill in Dunnhumby, Nielsen, Kantar, IRI systems
- Ability to interpret data and create insights and recommendations
- Proficient IT skills (Ms PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc, presentation writing)
- Able to lead meetings and co-ordinate cross-functional working
- Can demonstrate creative flair
